Last weekend we were blessed by a beautiful sunny day. We met Bob and Sandy Gold, Beth Gold, and our friends the Peterson's at the base for an evening of fun at the lake.
We BBQ'd, played at a park, and enjoyed the sun. Stephen started calling Bob - Bobby! Hilarious. Bob and Sandy lead our Thursday night bible study. There are a couple we have some to know and the mentor us (even if they don't know it.) He is a '76 USAFA grad and a strong Christian couple. Their son and daughter-in-law (Nate and Beth) are our age and expecting their first child anyday. Each place we live, we have found an "older" couple to mentor us. We have found the Gold's in AK!! And by older, I mean older than us - not OLD (they are younger than our parents.) Bob also teaches Stephen good words. Remember this story?
