Hope

Day tripping!! We had a wonderful day off together!! To celebrate, we went to Hope, Alaska to salmon fish with the Ellemberger's. That was a feat in itself - four doctors with a day of together! Those chances are about equal to getting struck by lighting! Hope is at the end of a two lane paved road along the Cook Inlet south of Anchorage. We stopped for gas on the way down because there are no gas stations in Hope.

I haven't figured video out, but will have to because I got all three kids saying grace before lunch. How wonderful and cute:
We fold our hands and softly say,
Thank you for our food today.
Amen

Then off to fish . . . we all took turns watching the kids. Herman is an amazing fisher man. He is like, this is the way you do it, and there is always a fish hooked within 5 seconds. It is so aggrevating sometimes because he is so successful so quickly. But he is also a great teacher, so I am thankful for all the time he has spent with me helping me learn to fish.

Here is our success . . . the kids loved feeling the fish.

The children had such a fun time playing with the fish eggs, the mud, the water, and with each other.
