Disneyland

Stephen is old enough to know about Disney and Mickey Mouse. We had decided to go to Disneyland for the day during our visit, but the hot weather made us think twice. We wanted Stephen to have a Disney experience, but wanted more of an indoor event based on the weather. So, we did the Lilo and Stitch breakfast with Grandma and Miss Esther. It was a fun experience. We were greeted with lei's at the door and met Lilo, Stitch, Pluto, Minnie, and Daisy. For Stephen, if it moves it is not good. So, he didn't want to go near the characters, but enjoyed watching them.

After breakfast, we started to head over to Downtown Disney to walk around.  Stephen saw Goofy and was hooked!  He had so much fun surfing with Goofy and playing.  The catch, Goofy was a statue and didn't move!

Eleanor was a trooper all day.  She enjoyed hanging out in the stroller while we walked around.  Here she is sporting the lei's.

Stephen did get to go into the park.  Miss Esther has a season pass and offered to take Stephen into the park.  I wasn't nervous until I saw this:

While Miss Esther and Stephen went into Disneyland, Eleanor, Grandma, Matt, and I walked around Downtown Disney.  Eleanor enjoyed the attention.

"Hi Guys!"

Stephen had such a fabulous time with Miss Esther.  He rode the Dumbo ride in a green elephant, the merry-go-round that went up and down, and saw Mickey in his house.  His favorite part was the monorail.  The driver's name was Eleanor and she was impressed Stephen was from Alaska.  He talked all about his trip to Disney for days!  Thank you Miss Esther for taking Stephen to Disneyland.
