The Wolf boys in "Wolf Woods" at the zoo!
We have made it back from our grand adventure. One week - two six hour plane rides, two six and a half hour car rides, three beds, one oral examination, and lots of fun with family and friends!! Stephen did great on the trip considering the time change, no official naps, and many hours of sitting around. He got to experience his first time playing in the grass with just a onesie on. So wonderful, and so much fun to watch. Thank you Brent and Lori for keeping your lawn in such good shape!! We were able to see Lauren's Uncle Joe, spend time with many church friends, and old family friends.
Matt's boards went well. He might tell you differently. Then we spent Saturday afternoon relaxing and napping after a long week. On Sunday, we spent the day at the Brookfield Zoo with the Davis family (newly reunited after a deployment to Iraq) and the rest of Chicago in the 80 degree sunny weather. What a wonderful day. Stephen had a blast seeing all the animals. He loved the penguins and the bears. The rest of Sunday was spent packing in preparation for Matt's deployment. We spent one last good night together as a family.
On Monday morning, Stephen and I escorted Matt to gate C28 at O'Hare to say goodbye until September. Then we spent the rest of the day napping and shopping and playing outside. I found the IKEA in Chicago, and would be addicted to that store if I lived nearby.
Here are a few pictures from our trip! (Not in order, learning how to blog still!!)
