Christmas preparations

This is the first year that I have taken the lead on Christmas decorating. Matt usually gets the decorations out incrementally over a week period of time. Since his schedule has some time during the week that is "free" he has gotten a lot of this done while I have been at work. Thankfully my mom and dad were here to help. My dad helped me get the tree put together which was awesome. I don't think the tree would have gotten up if he hadn't been here. Then we all spent an afternoon decorating the tree. The kids enjoyed looking at all of the ornaments. It is fun to talk to Stephen about all of them and how each one is special. My mom helped me with wrapping presents. Most of the presents were wrapped and under the tree by December 7th! We had a great evening together wrapping. Even though Matt wasn't there, it was a very special holiday season around here with family, friends, and Stephen understanding the true meaning of Christmas.

Stephen and Eleanor even had some help from Ms. Erica decorating the refrigerator this year. They did an awesome job.
