Friends

Stephen has new friends every time we turn the corner! He is definitely social. His newest friends are Alyssa and Jeremiah Peterson. He especially likes them because he got to go out for sushi with them. Stephen also gets to play with Jeremiah on Sunday's at Sunday School.

Alyssa and Jeremiah are the children of Todd and Damaris Peterson. To prove that this truly is a small world: Todd and Matt lived in the Phillipines together when they were little. They were in the same grade. The Wolf's and Peterson's have stayed in touch through the years. Matt has not seen Todd since the early 90's when he visited Todd's family in North Carolina. Last year while Matt was deployed, we heard through Todd's parents that he was going to be moving to Alaska with his family. Todd is a pilot (C-17) in the Air Force. We were so excited. Then I got an e-mail from Matt saying he had met up with Todd in Afghanistan! They hadn't seen each other for over 15 years and meet half-way around the world! We are enjoying our new friends and can't wait to establish an awesome friendship that will last for years to come!

We have also become friends with a lot of our neighbors, which is quite unlike Ohio and DC. It is fun being able to walk out our door and have such wonderful friendships. One family in particular has been such a joy to get to know - The Butlers. Mary their older daughter is our babysitter. Taylor, the younger daughter, loves our children. Penny and Charles are so nice and so much fun to be around. Plus they love our children and dote on them too. Thought I would share some pictures of Eleanor with Penny and Taylor. Stephen wouldn't sit still for pictures of course!
