My Little Zoo

Our morning started out with play date. We have been trying to get together with a family from church for awhile. It finally worked out. We ate breakfast, played, and painted pumpkins. I made some yummy toasted walnut, chocolate chip, pumpkin pancakes. It was an Aunt Debby recipe that I altered. So yummo! I wasn't sure if the pumpkin painting would be fun. It was a hit!

The kids all dressed up as my little zoo animals.  Stephen was the cutest little elephant with a great elephant snort.  We kept calling Stephen lots of different names that ended in elephant, but he kept proclaiming that, "I'm just an elephant." So we started to call him Just N. Elephant. Eleanor was Ellie Leopard or the Jelly the Jaguar.

To top off a day filled with fun and long naps, we went to the girls house for dinner and trick-or-treating. Some warm yummy chili and cornbread to get us fueled up for a chilly walk around the neighborhood. The kids were all so cute, excited, and polite. "Trick-or-treat" was quickly followed by "thank you." Eleanor didn't walk very much, only because she was slow. But the joy of the evening was present in all the kids all night long. Next year they will be running around the neighborhood! Nana went with us and she helped us carry an extra pumpkin that ended up going out the door with us.  Fortunately, the weather was chilly not too cold, no snow, and a clear full moon night.  Eleanor was excited about the candy when we got back, but then the excitement quickly faded.

The littlest ones travelled in the lap (or arms or shoulders) of comfort. Both of the super cute! And both little animals!

yay! Looks like such fun. Stephen is a cute cute elephant. Ellie's face paint is adorable! And did I see you, Lauren, dressed as AK's favorite pediatrician? :)

Thank you for visiting our website! May you have a blessed day.
