Easter Egg Hunt

The kids were able to participate in two Easter egg hunts this weekend. The first was not really a hunt, as much as gather. The event was held at the base in a big hanger. They fill the inside of the hanger with Easter eggs. Then, the kids run out into the middle picking up as many eggs as they can. In the meantime, they have to get around the crazy parents trying to take pictures of kids collecting the eggs. It is always mass chaos, and over in 30 seconds. And it is always a good time.

After the egg hunt, I took the kids to a local store who was giving free cookies to kids who had drawn a bunny. Stephen looked forward to the cookie all week long. He was so patient and excited about the drawing. He had no trouble parting with the picture. Mom had a little difficulty letting his first bunny go though.  


The second hunt was here at the house. Stephen was off and running the minute he heard go! There was no stopping him. Even when he had collected a lot, we told him that Eleanor needed to find a few. Then he went off in search of eggs for Eleanor to find. What a great big brother!
