Happy New Year's!

This is the best New Year's ever!  Matt and I had the debate today in person and decided collectively that it truly is the best ever!  Six months and 7 days after Matt left for his trip to the Mideast, he has returned.  His return came at least two days earlier than either one of us expected.  It also coincided with New Years!  We are entering 2010 as a family of four together!

Eleanor, Stephen, and I went to the airport accompanied by Grandma and Grandpa.  With all of the security concerns in the past week I wasn't sure if we would be able to make it out to the gate to meet Matt.  Thankfully all six of us made it through security to be at the gate for Matt.  The flight arrived 30 minutes early and we were there!  The Lord is so great!

To our surprise, Matt was the first one off of the plane!  The stewardesses had put him into first class and he was able to meet us first!  What an awesome surprise!  As Stephen would say, "Phenomenal!!!"  We were all so happy and full of hugs and smiles!  I don't think we have stopped smiling since!

Welcome home Matt!  There was even a sign at the airport welcoming him home!

Matt's brother's family were even celebrating in California!

We all are moving forward into 2010 as a family!  We are so thankful for this years blessings!  Friendships and relationships have been strengthened that will last forever.  Our family has grown together while being apart.  We look forward to being together in 2010!  We are most thankful to be together!

Happy New Years 2010!  Love, Matt, Lauren, Stephen, and Eleanor
