Bedtime

Stephen and I had a wonderful "snuggle" tonight at bedtime.  After Matt laid Stephen down, I went and checked on him.  I discussed with Stephen about how much the door should be open, then he asked me to lay down with him.

Me: Can I hold your hand?

Stephen: I would love that.

(Holding hands)

S: Mommy, your hands are cold.

M: Are mine cold or are yours warm?

S: I will make your hands warm.

M: Thank you.  I love you.

S: I love you, too.

M: You make my heart melt.

S: I don't make your heart melt.

M: It's a good thing that you make my heart melt.

S: Snuggle with me more please.

Finally, 

S: You can leave now.  Come back and check on me later please.

M: Good night, I love you.

S: I love you too.

Wow, my heart and mouth are both smiling hugely.  I love my little boy.  He will always have a truly special place in my heart always.
